Day 1 - Arrival in Bangkok

On arrival you will be welcomed by your tour guide and taken to The Peninsula Hotel. Spend the day relaxing or recovering from your flight or take one of our highly recommended Bangkok city tours.
Day 2 - Bangkok (B,L)Today, discover the intriguing mix of old and new found in Thailand's capital city with a full day guided tour. Start this morning watching monks chant at Wat Po, tour the glittering Grand Palace and relax with a delicious lunch in a teak mansion and discover the world of Thai textiles with a visit to Jim Thompson's House. Day 3 - Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok (B,L)

Head out of Bangkok to the ancient city of Ayutthaya and spend Take a cruise on an elegantly restored rice barge, visit local villages and relish the grandeur of this former Thai capital as you tour the temple ruins.
Day 4 - Bangkok (B,L)Today we take you out of the city to Samut Songkram province where you will discover an amazing country market along the railway tracks as well as one of the many floating markets of Thailand. Take a fascinating boat ride through the maze of canals stopping along the way to visit Buddhist temples and meet local Thai people before arriving at Rama II Park with its Thai style Pavilion Museum. Day 5 - Bangkok - Chiang Rai (B)

Today you fly to Chiang Rai and drive to the golden triangle area in far north of Thailand to your hotel on the Mekong River with views across Laos and Burma. Stop for a tour of Chiang Rai where a local pedal-powered rickshaw will take you through town, to the intriguing Hill Tribe Museum and to several revered temples.
Day 6 - Chiang Rai (B,L)Spend a day in the jungle traveling by elephant, boat and ox-cart through bamboo forest, woodlands, rice paddies and farmland. Enjoy a picnic by the river and discover a remote Akha hill tribe village on the top of Doi Sa Ngo Mountain with stunning views of Mekong River. Also visit the old capital of Chiang Saen (AD 1260) on the steep banks of Mekong River before returning to your resort. Overnight at the Anantara Resort and Spa Golden Triangle. |
Day 7 - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai (B,L)

Today we drive through the mountains to Chiang Mai. Choosing the most scenic route, your guide will take you to see the royal palace and gardens at Doi Tung as well as stopping to visit some of the lesser visited tribal communities.
Day 8 - Chiang Mai (B)Discover lanna culture and local lifestyles today. Visit a local farmhouse, cruise the waters of the Mae Pang River and enjoy a bowl of traditional noodles. Late this afternoon we will take you up the mountain to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most famous and sacred temple in Northern Thailand where you will witness the late evening chants of the resident monks. Day 9 - Chiang Mai - Phuket (B)

Spend the morning relaxing at your hotel or take one of our highly recommended sightseeing tours before transferring for your direct flight to Phuket. On arrival in Phuket you will be met by one of our local team and transferred to your hotel.
Day 10 - 13 - Phuket (B)Relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful beaches and unrivalled charms of south Thailand. During your stay, we will take you on a guided tour of the islands interior to discover the unique history of the town. An elegant dinner cruise to a secluded beach is a perfect end to your holiday as you cruise through tranquil waters under the star-lit sky with a cocktail in hand! Overnight at Sala Phuket |
