Explore the tranquil beauty of Chiang Mai on foot. This fabulous and informative walking tour takes you past colorful markets and temples and through the heart of the city. Start with a stroll along the Mae Ping River toward Warorot market before taking a rickshaw ride along the town's main street. Resume walking in the ancient city centre, exploring its many temples and stupas.
The Rachamankha is more a treasury of old Lanna culture than simply a hotel. Modeled after the chapel of one of Thailand's most beautiful temples, this single-storey inn is a neat assemblage of white plaster buildings capped by terracotta roofs.
