OVERVIEW
This combination tour is a great way to experience the blend of cultures in Northern Thailand. Start with a tour of Studio Naeena, a group of weavers established by Patricia Cheesman to preserve traditional weaving techniques. These fabrics are an integral part of Thai culture. Continue to Wat Phra Thad Doi Suthep, one of the region's most sacred temples, to learn about the Buddhist religion that is so prevalent in Thailand.
PROGRAM DETAILS
This half day tour takes you to Studio Naenna to see a fine display of textile arts of South East Asia. Studio Naenna is the marketing arm for a woman's weaving group which was founded in 1986 in northern Thailand. This group, known as the Weavers for the Environment was initiated by Patricia Cheesman Naenna, an expert in antique, Lao and Thai textiles. Continue to Wat Phra Thad Doi Suthep (AD 1384), the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand. Inside the cloister of the temple you will see one of the most sacred stupas in all of Thailand. A panoramic view of the city is seen from here at 3500 feet above sea level, a perfect photo opportunity!

The amount of time spent creating these items and the intricate hand carvings are sure to leave you amazed.
Flight of the Gibbon is a unique zip line canopy tour through pristine rainforests. Swing from tree to tree on an exhilarating ride using ziplines and skybridges, swooping over the forest floor! The action takes place in Mae Kampong village, where you will also have time to learn about the local culture and stroll through the village and surrounding forest.
The Rachamankha is more a treasury of old Lanna culture than simply a hotel. Modeled after the chapel of one of Thailand's most beautiful temples, this single-storey inn is a neat assemblage of white plaster buildings capped by terracotta roofs.
